Touch For Health Kinesiology #01

Enabling you to balance and grow in all elements of your life

What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a non invasive method of natural healthcare which increases our awareness of our body and how energy flows. It can help reduce stress and pain, improve performance and promotes health and well being.

Developed by Dr George Goodheart in the 1960s, Kinesiology is an integration of proven techniques and principles from eastern and western medicine. Dr Goodheart and his colleagues proved a relationship between the eastern concepts of life force(chi, or Prana), the pathways of energy flow in the body (Meridians) and the muscles and organs.

There are many different types of Kinesiology. John Thie, a colleague of Dr Goodheart developed Touch For Health in 1970 using the basics of Applied Kinesiology and incorporating many practical and effective methods of balancing the body's energy.

Every session is unique.
No two sessions of treatment are the same, even for people with similar symptoms, because the person is treated as a unique individual. Touch For Health Kinesiology is a truly holistic approach to addressing both physical and psychological issues which makes it an especially powerful healing system. In a single session, it is possible to identify allergies, identify nutritional imbalances, deal with phobias and psychological stress, rebalance meridian energies, begin correcting structural weaknesses and start the process of detoxifying the body.

You don't even have to be ill to benefit from Touch For Health Kinesiology as a regular session can keep stress levels under control, making it easier to feel good and look good.

During the first session of Touch For Health Kinesiology you will be introduced to muscle testing as a way of gaining information on how the body is functioning. Muscle testing gives us a way of tapping into the communication system of the whole body. A gentle pressure is used to obtain information about the quality of the response of the muscle. The arms and legs are used as levers to access muscles all over the body. If when tested a muscle tests weak/ switches off it means that the energy flow through that particular associated meridian is unbalanced.

I will work with you to understand where the imbalances are, before going onto explore what could restore balance to the body. Your body will tell us the answers!

Imbalances are corrected by using a variety of gentle methods such as massage and acupressure holding points, meridian pathways, nutritional changes to diet or working with emotional responses. I will also show you points or give you activities that you can work on at home.
